Lineup of Licensees for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Warner Bros. Consumer Products has announced that the last installment of the best-selling Harry Potter film franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2, will be ushered in with a wide array of merchandising products for fans of all ages. The movie hits theaters nationwide Friday.
Lego has released a variety of play sets that feature locations and scenes from the films, including Hogwarts, The Forbidden Forest, and the Knight Bus. The Noble Collection will offer intricately crafted wands and other artifacts replicated from the series. Additional global licensees include NECA, Tomy, Panini, DeAgostini, Hasbro, Rubie’s Costume Co., Artbox Entertainment, Gentle Giant, Bioworld Merchandising Inc., Hallmark, Mead, Tonner Doll, and Jelly Belly Candy Company, which will re-release its 20-flavor collection of Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavour Beans. CBS Announces Plethora of TV Products From Comic-Con

Yesterday at Comic-Con in San Diego, CBS Consumer Products and its affiliates announced a slew of new products based on the Star Trek brand.
Hallmark will release a lineup of Christmas 2010 ornaments based on the Star Trek property, including Captain Kirk, Spock, Kirk vs. Spock/“Amok Time,” and the U.S.S. Enterprise from the 2009 movie. Hallmark is also giving a sneak peak at its holiday 2011 prototypes.
IDW‘s lineup of new graphic novels and comic books will include those based on Star Trek, while Rocket World has announced the release of limited-edition Starfleet I.W.G. figurines that feature Original Series accessories. Rubie’s will release a new series of The Original Series, The Next Generation, and Star Trek costumes including a Gorn mask and Spock romper, and to promote its Starfleet Academy young adult books, due out in December, Simon and Schuster is handing out postcards for advanced reader copies.
In Twilight Zone news, Bif Bang Pow revealed four new eight-inch action figures depicting the Gremlin, Masked Man, Kanamit, and Devil. Eight more bobble heads and figurines are expected to be announced later during Comic-Con.

Fox Consumer Products Announces Glee Merchandising Program

Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products has announced the launch of a merchandising program for the Fox television series Glee. Merchandising plans have been announced for interactive products, apparel and accessories, publishing, electronics and games, and bedding and beauty.
Fox Consumer Products has partnered with Konami Digital Entertainment to produce Karaoke Revolution Glee, which will be release for the Wii this fall. “Gleeks” will be able to sing along with performances from the first season.
Little, Brown Books for Young Readers will release a series of Glee original novels, along with a deluxe gift book. C&D Visionary, Inc., will release stickers, patches, magnets, and temporary tattoos in the U.S. and Canada. Other licensees include Trends International, LLC for bookmarks and posters; P.C. Woo, Inc. for holiday gift sets; Sky High International for branded pens, planners, and other school supplies; and Hallmark for a line of greeting cards.

ESPN and Hallmark Launch New Partyware

ESPN and Hallmark have launched a new line of personalized partyware featuring X Games themes. Buyers are able to personalize the paper plates with their own images and text at Hallmark.com. The plates are available for purchase on Hallmark’s website, and retail at $10 for ten plates.

Playmates Toys Reintroduces Rainbow Brite

Rainbow Brite returns to the doll scene with a makeover. Master toy licensee Playmates Toys will introduce a new Rainbow Brite doll collection at Toys “R” Us and Target stores in spring 2010. The collection will include 10-inch dolls of Rainbow Brite and her two friends Moonglow and Tickled Pink, fashioned in their signature bright dresses, accessories, and boots. The collection also includes a 15-inch Rainbow Brite doll and the gang’s horse companions: Starlite, Shimmer, and Sunriser.
